Hi all,

I do a fair amount of metal work and was in need of a metal cutting saw. So I bought a Evolution Metal glide saw.

It cuts 1/4 in pretty easily, so it will work for my needs. I cost me 259 bucks........... wait until they have a sale on it you might actually get it cheaper.

In general this thing works really well and is accurate no complaints. It only compound miters one direction. Why so cheap?
Here are a couple of the reasons, it is a bush type motor, for me not a problem as the brushes will likely out live me.
The other thing which was kinda weird, is it came partially unassembled.Easy ....took about 3-4 min to assemble, but weird to see.

Nice saw all in all, just thought I would share

Yeah just a saw blade like a regular miter saw but the guard and blade are different.

The partial assembly is a little odd, but if it only took a few minutes, no big deal. Glad to hear it's cutting accurately and working well for your metal projects.

Looks interesting so I went to the website to see if it had variable speed, but couldn’t find anything. Just curious what blade and speed you would use for steel?
