I have another brand trim router and think these are terrific for light work. These have 1/4" collets and so should be reserved for lighter work or smaller passes at edge treatments. Shaft flex and bit chatter are the concerns with the 1/4" shaft bits.

I bought a used one about 4 years ago for $10 and it is a great little workhorse. I use it for round overs, trimming and hogging out inlay areas. I've also used it with a hinge mortising jig (from a Shop Notes plan) to clean out hinge mortises. It even takes PC bushings.
