Got a new catalog in the mail from MLCS. Good looking selection of bits, plus there's some "oddball" bits that I need. The prices are very reasonable. I haven't had any experience with these bits, but I've seen them mentioned here on NCWW. Can ya'll fill me in on MLCS? Are they decent quality?:eusa_thin

I've been buying from MLCS for 3-4 years. I like 'em. Especially the free shipping part of the total price. Their House cope & stick and their Katana bits are slightly different. The setup blocks they offer are exact matches for the Katana, but only close for the house brand. But that's not a real problem since once you've got the joint aligned, you'll have a setup block-set from the scrap used. Download their technical manual and put it in your shopbook. It's a gooood thing. And if you ever have a question, call and ask to speak to a 'woodworker'. There's a couple of guys in their shop who are very helpful.

I've bought bits in the past and have been fully satisfied with them... The Katana brand is better quality and yet still reasonable in price.

I use MLSC as my primary source for router bits. They are well made and last reasonably long. Last year, I built a curved desk for local YMCA, that involved cutting a lot of bows to support front. I used a MLSC 1/2" straight bit to route several hundred feet of curves into 3/4" plywood. My favorite bit from them is the 1/2" high 1/2" pattern trim bit. With it, I can use 3/4" templates without having to, raise them off table. I just got both a standard and Kantada (sp?) bit to do a comparison of the two. FREE SHIPPING turns me on!
