New Miter Bench (In Progress)

This project has been a long time comin'. It is basically the last piece of shop furniture I have left to build. I still need to build 15' of wall cabinet but that is for next week!! I started with the NYW design and modified to suit my space. Tomorrow I finish the tops, do the edge band and mount my SCMS. Then, the small task of building 15 drawers!!!

Looks great Geoff - DC already run, recess for miter saw, and LOTS of storage. Fifteen drawers? Maybe you can ask Travis to come help you, he loves building drawers in bulk :rolf: And nice job matching the fronts on the drawers in that rollaway cabinet!

BTW, I think you need another cordless drill. Three isn't enough.

Wish sometimes, that I had that much wall space to build something more permanent. (I have my I chop saw on a roll around stand and it is a pain with longer pieces of lumber. Hate those roller stands!:BangHead

Please share some more pictures when you get it populated with all of the drawers.

I can't take credit for the recess idea. A good buddy (Skysharks) has it that way in his shop. I just copied!!
