We have a couple of new out-of-state members who ended up in moderation just as they should (way to go, Steve! :icon_thum ). However, neither of them has filled in the out of state join request info. Am I missing something, or did they miss something? Is it possible they didn't have that custom field displayed when they joined? I can send them a PM or email about this issue, but I want to check to make sure how this is supposed to work first.

Sizzerbil looks like he may be legitimate since the description say he "...moved to North Carolina from Georgia to be closer to family" and his County is listed as Boone -- I suspect he just entered data in the incorrect fields. WV has come up as the state in some other cases (it is last state alphabetically). I'm betting he is eligible.

WOOD CHUCK123 is from Wallingford, CT and shows no linkage to NC and no referral by an existing member. I suspect he is ineligible.

My .02 -- but it doesn't answer your question... Rob

The out of state field is always displayed. sizzerbil has an invalid zip and I agree with Rob that he typed the wrong zip. I sent him an email but he never responded. I think.

I just re-ran the tests. If you look at the webmasters emails, you will see tht the new user email has an extra message that warns of being placed in moderation.

Yea I saw that email you sent and I never saw a response to it. I just wondered why that out of state request field was never filled in for either of those. Is there a way to make it a required field if the ZIP is out of range? Or is there a way to force them to fill in that field when they validate their email, or maybe next time they log in if they're in moderation? Just wondering.

I will send PMs to those two to request the necessary info.

Well, it's only code, I can do anything:lol:

Seriously, the problem is add ing the code in such a way that only the plugin and phrase system is used to make the changes. The whole registration system is a bit convoluted in its logic, so I had a hard time just doing what I did.

BUT, if I can make some time, I'll try to add some of the features that I should have put in, in the first place:BangHead: :eyeslam:

But it won't be for awhile.

FYI, there is a new version of vBadvanced coming, that is supposed to integrate with the product/plugin system the proper way:eusa_danc :eusa_clap This will make easier to maintain the whole system.

Also, I think (just a hunch) there will be a new major version upgrade to Vb itself.
