Hi, I'm Bill from Graham. Born here. Lived alot of places. Still live here.

My father was raised by his grandfather in Durham and was taught to be a cabinet maker (and coffin maker). He always loved working with wood and I inherited that love.

I am blessed with 5 children, 12 grandchildren, a wife (of 43 years), and my mother still living.

I love to make toys, etc. for my grandchildren.

Welcome Wildbill. How does it feel living just around the corner from WWS? I couldn't live there, I'd be spending too much money, I'd have to visit three/four times a week.

Welcome to the site, I'm a bit jealous of your location. Actually, I'm not, I'd spend way too much time over at the hardwood store. Please stop in and visit us as often as you can.

Another warm welcome Bill!

Eventually, I'll be needing to ask you some questions about coffin building

Welcome, Bill.

Nice area you've returned to after lots of other places. Look forward to hearing of your interests and ideas -- I'm retired too, five kids, four and 7/9's grandkids, one great grandkid. Wife and I moved from Durham and now have a nice shop in our home here in the heavenly mountains of NC -- look forward to meeting you one day as I slide through town and stop at the supply store there on I-40 near the Haw River .... Oh, yeah, my mother is still alive too -- a ripe old 93 and still going strong!

Another welcome Bill! My Dad still lives here in Greensboro at 87. I couldn't do without him, especially when I bring home those heavy woodworking pieces of equipment and need a hand to unload, unpack and assemble! He works circles around me. Glad you found us!

Hi, not sure how much help I can be on coffins at this time. My great grandfather made coffins for the Jewish community in Durham county, because from 1900 until his death in the 30's, he was the only cabinet maker who could ( or would) make coffins without nails or metal of anykind. I am still researching how.

Welcome aboard Bill. WWS is just down the road from me also, about 115 miles down the road.:crybaby2:

For those that mentioned their parents in their post. Cherish every minute with them. Because when they are gone you have their memories to keep you going.
