"Honey, if you buy a pool, I'll build the deck!" The seed was planted last August and lord how it grew. All that's left is to build a gate (hardware should be in from Lee Valley Tuesday) and a little more landscaping. I know it's my own fault, I kept adding to it, but my wife love's it. That's the main reason to build it. The pool is 24' wide with a 3' splash deck around it. The square section measures about 19' x 44'. Privacy screen is 8'x48'. Decking is the man made stuff the Lowe's sells. I found it at a local salvage yard. Floor joists are on 12" centers.

All the work was worth it when Vickie got in the pool for the first time today, like a kid at Christmas.

Wow, Rick that is really too cool! That is no small job there. Neat design, I like the shape a lot and the elevation tiers in your work. Simply beautiful.

I hope you don't show that off to family and friends...at least NOT if they are planning a pool purchase!! "C'mon Rick , can't you build one more for me?" :lol: :lol:

Started planning last August. Had the splash deck around the pool and most of the framing done by Thanksgiving. Took the winter off and worked hard for the last six weeks to finish by this past weekend. I don't work as fast as I used too.
