Hey all,

Don't forget the sales going on Tomorrow at Klingspor Raleigh. We (NCWW) will have a table and a few exhibitors. They're even going to try and bring me over to the Dark Side:rotflm:. Anyway, Bas will do a sharpening demo on his Worksharp, Bob (woodartz) and DaveO will be turning, and teaching some of us how to, pens. Join us, Steve Coles, toolferone, sawduster, sapwood, Mikel, Doug Robinson, and others.

Hope to see y'all between 9 -3,

Jimmy:)

I'll second that. Hope everyone comes out for some friendly socializing, buying a ton of tools and, eh, what, you want more??!!? :)

Plus, if you don't show up, I won't have anything to do...so I'll be forced to browse the store for new tools, picking out what I need.....picking out what I don't need but want....I guess that's good too. :)

Sorry Bas - be sure to take you money. Raleigh is too far for our first chance this week to not have drive several hours of commute. I hope you have a great turn out!

I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who had to check out the site within hours of leaving the Klingspor event!

I too had a great time meeting some new members and visiting with some familiar faces. Great job to those who worked on the demos. :icon_thum

I got on and noticed the same thing, I think it was the first thing everyone did when they got home.

Ditto what Doug, Mike and Jimmy said !! It was well worth the 150 miles put on the ol' truck. Watching Dave turn square stuff into round stuff and Bas turn dull stuff into sharp stuff was fascinating especially when they did it while carrying on coversations :notworthy: showed me once again how much I have to learn. I just wish someone had warned me Klingspor was so close to HF, my wallet took a double hit :gar-La;

I had originally planned on sleeping in today, but I still ended up getting out of bed early (thanks to the dogs). I almost got a wild hair up my arse and drove up there, but my car NEEDS some work. I barely feel comfortable driving it to the store. Perhaps I will make it to the next event. Soooooooo................... where are the PICS? I'm ready to see some pics and some gloats and some completed demos! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Wish I could've made it, but I'm glad everyone had a great time.

I was the tall guy with the tan BB&T #2 Racing hat and the glazed look in his eyes from staring at all the toys !!! :rotflm:

Me too! I was going to go, but it is a bit of a drive, and I just got back from a quick trip up and back to N. VA on WW business. It would have been nice to see and meet everyone, but I would have spent a lot of money on gas to save 10-15% on things I don't need to be buying right now! :eusa_booh

Doug, I second (third, fourth?) that! I think we should shorten the slogan here to "The Friendliest". It was terrific putting faces and voices to the virtual people.

The only thing I now gotta worry about is next time I see everyone and I'm like "I know that dude, but what was his name again?" :icon_scra So if you see me hedging with "Hey, good to see you man, what's going on", it means I've forgotten :)

Major kudos to Steve and Paul for getting this all set up, along with all the french benefits :drunken_s.

BTW, I'm not sharpening anything for the next two weeks.

I was there, but obviously I am no longer large enough to make a suitable impression. Mixed blessings, as they say.

It was great to see so many folks today. My pen turning demo went by so fast, I hardly had time to say hello-goodbye. I did get to chat with a few folks and sprayed sawdust on a few others. I can't wait for the shop crawl... I need Bas to sharpen some skews and gouges for me ;-).

See y'all soon!

Sorry to have missed the fun. The oldest grandson decided to commit matrimony and today was the day. It was a lovely wedding. See some of U'uns next week at the show.
