Maker Faire: NC is a fully sanctioned event but is planned and coordinated by Raleigh/Durham locals. Our goal is to bring together Makers, Crafters, Inventors, Evil Geniuses, Scientists, Artists, and everyone else for a day of fun and inspiration.
Alan,
I saw the Maker Faire information as well and contacted the organization. I'm contenplating the idea of entering to see how selling s few turned pens would go. The entry fee shows $0.00 and you are provided a table, 10x10 space with power if needed. Access to the VIP station, discounted concessions, sounds like a good deal.
I figure I can try an afternoon and see how it goes. It's been a while since I've done a craft type show.
Unfortunately, I was out of town during last year's Maker Faire. The primary organizer, Jon Danforth, recently joined us here at NCWW. Looks to be a bigger show this year.
Looks interesting, Its always good to see local made products being displayed. That is what is going to get this country back on track, making our own products, not importing everything we use.
