natural edge bowl help

When some one like me is turning a natural edge bowl is is necessary to ca glue the bark and btw the wood is holly

I always do. CA thin and I do both inside and outside. I may do it several times as I reduce the thickness of the bowl.

That will depend on when the tree was cut. Winter time, when the water had moved to the core of the tree it should be pretty solid. I was told that you want to remove the bark from Holly because it will stain the wood. I've found on my NE bowls that I need to cut from the open down towards the base. The other way around the chisel can lift the bark off as you cut up.
