More on the Adirondack Guideboat

Interesting how the boat was developed to travel on the lakes and ponds of the region. I like the use of oars because I know how tedious it is to paddle a canoe and keep it going in a straight line. How big is the one you are building?

The boat I am building is a reproduction of a Grant boat. The LOA is 16 ft. The trick on these boats is the reverse curve of the ribs as they approach the front and back. You have to make all the ribs and shape them to apply the planking.
