Wow.

What do you mean by "Soft Maple, with Maple ply MDF core"?. The way I imagine floating shelves is a frame, with mdf covering or plywood.

Jack, you lost me in that description. Is the solid frame inside the shelves like a torsion box? I'm not visualizing that from Willem's pictures.

Outside, they are torsion boxes basically just with a hollow space inside to fit over the anchor that is attached to the wall, slips over that anchor piece
