Metric Plywood, what are you finding?

I’m sure you’re finding mostly metric thickness plywood now days, but are the sheets 4’ x 8’? Today I picked up a piece of plywood that was listed as 12mm x 4 x 8. I threw it in the back of my truck and went on my merry way home. As I was driving I thought, I wonder when the metric thickness ply-would (ha!) come in full metric. After all why metric thickness but imperial width and length? So after unloading the piece into my shop I put a tape measure to it. 49” and a little under 1/4” x 98” and a little less than 1/2”…or 1250mm (49.21”) x 2500mm (98.425”).

So, what are you finding? Does your truck have 49 1/2” between the wheels wells?

Most of what I buy is a little over 48" and a little over 96.

The MDF and Melamine I get from a commercial supplier is all 49x97.

Yup mostly metric , even if it is 48 x 96 the thickness is almost always 12 or 18 mm.
CDX , ABX & ACX are always 48 x 96
