I forgot how fast and accurate McMaster-Carr is. I always hated the UPS next day shipping as the only method of transport. Two nuts $8.86, UPS $12, tax $1.44...
And exactly as I expected, I will have to wait to grind since I have a little antique cabinet in varnish and it won't be dry till sometime tomorrow. Don't want metal dust in the air.
This is a slip fit so a little over .030 up to .040 to grind off.
And I need to see if I can order some more bright pink pencils.

Just a few minutes on the bench grinder and I have a stable platform for drilling holes

Just arrived in the mail. These are perfect!
One of the perks at work I miss is adding-on my small qty items to M-C or Grainger among other suppliers orders and not having to pay shipping. The best perk was being friends with our machinist. I’m sure he’d still enjoy my projects, but he retired shortly after I left Maine.

Thanks. I have been overwhelmed with offers and now have a very nice set of four nuts. I hope you can find a use for these.
