I have a friend that has retired from logging and saw milling (commercial in Reidsville, NC). He's 57.
He lives in Southern Alamance county, NC. Between Burlington and Liberty.
He would like to know if any of you guys ever need band saw sawmill lumber. He is bored.
He can get domestic logs from his logger friends. At the moment, he doesn't have a price list, but said that it would be cheaper than your larger sawmills (that don't want to sell to you anyway).
He is just wondering what you guys want and need, if any.
He has sawed for me several times. I just moved some hickory 8/4 that he sawed for me two years ago. It is still very heavy.
I think his plan is: Someone needs some oak, pine, cedar, etc., he will purchase the logs and saw to buyer's specs.
There is no catches, but I will say this, He doesn't need to work.
So, tell me what you think.

Thanks,
Joe Isley
