Welcome to the website, Don. There is a very good sawyer that frequents this website that is close to you -- Jeff... by name. Check out the pull-down "Where Are" on the upper menu bar and select NC Sawyers (just click it here!) and you'll find his listing in Region 3. Jeff does a great job and collaborates with another member (Scott Smith) here to kiln dry lumber and they give our members an excellent price break.

By the way -- you need to post a thread under the Who We Are forum and introduce yourself to the membership! But welcome from me here, too!

Don, welcome to the forum. This is the best bunch of folks around. I am looking forward to getting your inputs and seeing your work.

I aslo agree that Jeff is a great source. He is not all that far from Henderson.

Hey Jeff any wood runs planned for the near future?

Don,

I use The Hardwood Store of NC in Gibsonville (Exit 138 off I-85) and East Wake Hardwoods in Zebulon (downtown just off 96). Welcome aboard by the way. We have several members here from Macon, to Franklinton, to Youngsville, to Wilton, to Oxford.

I also live in Henderson. I found three places. The closest is Jeff Mills in Stovall he has a barn full of local kiln dried hardwoods. His business is part-time so it is best to call him first. His phone number is 919-691-5081.

The second place is East Wake hardwoods located in Zebulon. He's got wood from all over the world. I measured a couple of boards that were 38" wide. :thumbs_up

The third place I found is Klingspor in Raleigh. http://www.woodworkingshop.com/

Oh yea! A fourth place is Woodcraft in Raleigh.
