Looking for 8/4 mesquite.

Hi, Does anyone know where I can find some 8/4 Mesquite at least 6 foot long for a table-top?

Mesquite doesn't really grow straight very long. When you get up to the 8' lengths you're paying a premium price (and it won't be very wide). Most of it is 4 or less. Most suppliers are out of Texas. google "mesquite lumber". Whatever you do, don't subject good meat to its smoke

Can anyone recommend a good online supplier for mesquite? I've never ordered lumber online before.

There was a fellow that had some for sale in the classified on this site about 6 months ago. I don't remember his name but he lived off I77 north of Charlotte.
Maybe one of the elders could look into getting his name for you.
Being from Texas, I wanted some but without any specific purpose.
