Lipping Planer wanted

I'm going to be building lots of bookshelves for our Library and Entertainment Center and plan to construct the shelves using 3/4" cherry plywood with a 3/4 X 1 1/2 cleat on the front. I need to finish the cleat flush with the veneer without getting into it. Thought I'd like to try out a lipping planer. Anyone out there have one that I could try out? I'd be glad to pay a rental fee or swap something for the opportunity.
