Lift tables and conveyors for crosscutting

I just scored a serious lift table for a song. 24x36 4000lb cap for 200 bucks! Part of me just wants to tell someone who cares (the wife is profoundly unimpressed). But I'm also curious if any of y'all have one and what you've done with it. I'm thinking of building a larger torsion box top with t-track for an assembly table. Also planning on getting a small roller conveyor from Amazon (3', maybe 5' long) to help in crosscutting full sheets. The thought is I would be able to use the lift table to put the conveyor at the right height to support the offcut.
Any thoughts or experience to share? Thanks in advance.

These are great for moving heavy items from the ground to a table. Great Price !.

Yeah my wife also was unimpressed with my last purchase which was 10 cents on the dollar.

....in the eye of the beholder .......

One of the best things I bought for my shop. Handy shop assistant if you have the room for it. Use it as an outfeed table for the table saw. Upload and offload projects/machinery/lumber on my p.u. truck. Use as a parts carriers for moving them around the shop from station to station. Adding a torsion box will make it into a handy work bench with tool holding capacity One of the WW magazines... FWW or Woodsmith maybe?... has a good design that can be adapted for various sized lifts. Serves as height adjustable assembly table. Also use mine for putting projects at the right height for spraying finish (paper the lift top w/side skirts to block oversprayimg the lift pistons etc..). You will like it for sure. Enjoy.

Oops I just took another look. Your lift isn't on rollers like mine so that limits it a bit in terms of mobility. Still for $200 I'm sure you wil find many uses for it.

yes, that is the first thing, I would do is get "load-capable" casters for it and a "kick-stand" (floor lock) so that it stays where you want it to!

Got into it a little this morning and found that the bottom legs had been bolted on and were unnecessary. So I've taken them off and added some locking casters, but I don't think they're going to be heavy duty enough. I hadn't seen a floor lock before. I'll be getting one of those. Thank you.

I scored a good one recently too and am thrilled with it. I’d been looking for the right deal / right size and configuration for the past year or so and found a Bishamon 2200lb low profile lift on FB marketplace for $500, which is a deal that does not come along often at all - you stole yours for 200... Single phase motor on mine as well, which is nice not to have to deal with a VFD or my RPC.

I added really nice 6” phenolic swiveling and locking casters and built an MDF torsion box top for it very similar to Mike Farrington’s (posted above in YT video) at 40” wide x 75” long. Would have loved to go a little bigger but my shop is tiny and couldn’t afford more.

I can move it around very easily despite the weight (~750 # all in) and with the way it is currently I can lower the table top to around 24” off the floor and up to around 60”, which very handy for all sorts of tasks. Matching height to my adjacent workbench to slide heavy stuff on and off is a snap. Lowering all the way down to work on top of something is great. Raising the table up higher for sanding/routing/domino work is also a plus. The built in cubbies (4 each on both long sides and 1 deep one on each end) are amazing for storing supplies and smaller hand and power tools.

Highly recommended and wish I had enough space for a couple more to dedicate to other tasks like initial track saw cuts on sheet stock and a parts / outfeed cart when milling.

I also have a small 1k capacity foot pump air lift cart from Northern Tool with a small MDF top on it that gets wheeled around lot especially during milling, etc that I wouldn’t want to be without.
