For those close enough to participate the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Event road show will be in Raleigh in January. These are very informative "mini demos" with brief instructional programs and provide an opportunity to use and "play" with a lot of high quality tools. Highly recommended and yes, you can purchase - sometimes at a slight discount. These are usually open to the public at least one day but anyone interested in attending should probably check with The Crafts Center first.
