Oh my golly, that is fantastic. I usually sit in the lurker's shadows and watch the action, but this project really, really, really caught my eye. Charlie, when I get my turning feet on the ground, I wanna find out just how you did that....artful and precise. Great job.

Thanks for the compliments.

Pete, I have taken step by step photos of a couple of my pieces, but not this one. I start taking photos with good intentions, but get wrapped up in the project and forget to take shots. Shoot me a PM with your mailing address and I will send you a CD of the step by step photos that I have taken.

Luke, you (or anyone else that would like to) are welcome to visit my shop anytime and I will show you the basic process. It sure can be time consuming. This one was 80-90 hours. As with anything, if you make the 2nd or 3rd it goes much quicker. I try to learn something different on each new piece.

Charlie, that's just......okay, I'm speechless!
That thing looks like it belongs in a museum in Cairo! Fantastic work.
Look out Eras, there's a contender for your title of "King of the Segmenters"! :gar-La;
