Hi guys, I've been quietly working away the days on my new workbench. I am having lots of trouble building the danged drawers. It is beyond me why. I can build a box, why can't I get these drawers right? Oh well, I'll get them done. LOL Here is the bench. I had just finished puitting the PU on the tops.

That is looking good Anna.:icon_thum How many drawers are you planning to put in it? What kind of problems are you having with your drawer design?

Looks like it's going to be a very useful bench. What is the recess in the center for?

Looks pretty good to me so far.

What kinda problems are you having with the drawers? Are they gonna be flush, inset...dovetailed? Ball bearing slides or wood?

At any rate it looks like you've been more productive than me the past few days.

Keep the pics coming!

That's a pretty cool idea I got from the bench this is based on. I can put my miter saw in there and have support for it the length of the table. Also it provides support for a planer too. I am building a box that will be a sanding table that fits in there flush with the rest of the top. Also, I am going to build a regular flat top for assembly and glue ups. I will have to look for a pic on the table this is based on. I'll post it later on.

Some of my prototypes have been either too big or too small. I just can't get a good measuremnt. It's my eyes, I guess. LOL I am doing a simple rabbet joint for assembly.

I know that this sounds like a simplistic reply, but when I size drawers I start from the back and build toward the front.
Looking good,
Joe

Anna, your project looks great. You are in the right place for help with the drawers. I got lots of useful help for the drawers on my walnut nightstand. Good luck.
