latest bowl

I decided to turn a bowl of of a piece of "scrap" sycamore since it was "warm"? enough to get in the shop the other day. My dad says it looks like I found a bowl in a bowl! 5" D x 1 3/4" T. Any comments appreciated.

If that inside bowl is natural spalting it's amazing! Oh, the bowl looks great.

It's natural spalting. I got it out of an old firewood pile. Had been in a storage shed for about 10 years.

Best wood is free/found wood. Sounds like you might want to pick through that pile of firewood and see what else is hiding in there :icon_scra

I second that motion. From the looks of that bowl, there may be some real gems in that firewood pile. Nice job.
