Kingwood box....

Here is a box (what else ) that I turned from some Kingwood my wife gave me for Christmas. Man what a wonderful wood to turn. Nice and dense, cuts cleanly and polishes up like glass. Finished up at 2 1/4" in both directions. This box is sanded to 12000 with wax and then polished and buffed with some more wax. Thanks for looking....

Beautiful, I've been wanting to make some pens out of that. Now I am inspired, that wood is gorgeous, and as usual, Mike, you turned it into an exquisite piece.
