Hello fellow wood workers. My name is Rhett. I have recently moved to Raleigh from Lexington Ky. I am hoping to make some new connections. I do lots of veneer work and am currently trying to master the art of curve form woodworking:BangHead: I also have an unreal connection to obtain wide plank figured domestic hardwood, mainly cherry and maple, more on that later. As always be good and take your time.

Welcome to the website! There's a good many from Raleigh out here, so I'm sure you'll meet some interesting people who share the same passions you do (about woodworking, of course!)

Can't wait to hear about your unreal connections!

Welcome to the website, Rhett -- we'll be interested in seeing more about your projects and interests -- lots of good people here to share info with on a regular basis -- we'd love to see picture of your projects to date and your shop (former and new as you get set up), so start a Photo Gallery. And as wood lovers, we'll be interested to hear more about your unreal sources!

Again, welcome to the site and to NC.

Thanks for the kind remarks, it is definately custom. I simply cut a 2" OD hole, cut it in half making 2 semi-circles then glued a 1/8" strip of hardwood in the circle "sandwich". Sanded and used a router with a collet to cut the holes. Like everything in woodworking, gotta make a jig!
