Jewelry boxes

Finished two jewelry boxes. One in walnut and one in cherry. Relatively simple however the SOSS hinges are a challenge.

Very nice. The splines add a nice contrast, and I like the grain pattern in the cherry. Are they oil finished?

Thank you for the spell check. Yes, the hinges come with a paper template. I used a drill press for the start but they require hand chiseling also if you don't use a router template. Three coats of brush on and 3 coats of wipe on urethane.

Great attention to detail!

I too really like the hinge work. (Always a challenge for me at best.)
