I have a 6" Jet Jointer and after working flawlessly for the last 10 years, the ball crank cast iron piece on the infeed table adjustment has broken. Luckily the piece that broke is only about $20 so it should be as inexpensive repair.

I had a couple questions for anyone that has done any repair / re-furbishing of a jointer
1. As long as I have to take the bed off, are there other parts that I should be lubricating, cleaning or replacing? I have the Jet JJ-6C-SX so it seems parts are readily available and best to order what I need in one order.
2. Can one person get the bed on/off this type of jointer or is this definitely a two person job?
3. Anything else you'd recommend in doing the repair?
