Only took about 15 years! I bought the lathe with a bad VFD and a real mess from lots of green turnings. The $500 price included the new VFD though. Not long after getting it , I completely stripped it down to bare metal and painted it red, just to be different. I replaced the bearings as a precautionary measure. Then it sat for way too many years. This was the year to get it done. I wired in abdominal programmed the new VFD. I went to screw the chuck on only to find the threads damaged. Bought a cool bit for a rotary tool and was able to fix the threads. I am taking it off the casters and putting the leveling feet back on. Now, I need to turn something I guess.
