MT #2 is stuck. I removed spindle from tailstock have had no luck attempting to knock it out. Don't have arbor press, so am at a loss and any suggestions are welcome. Furthermore, cannot re-insert the spindle into tailstock. Since my shop is ~50 F, I am assuming the issue is steel and cast iron having different heat co-erfficients.
I'm in the process of putting the spindle in the freezer to check this. Any thoughts?

A couple thoughts:
- use a heat gun to heat (expand) the ram and loosen the taper
- use a small hammer to tap the stuck taper all around the circumference, in an effort to loosen the taper
- use (or make) a puller or bearing splitter to press the taper out. Remember not to press the the steel bolt of the puller directly against the back of the taper or you risk damaging it.

Check the mating surfaces carefully afterwards. We've had some wild swings in temperature and humidity..maybe a wee bit o rust. Or you might have some galling on the mating surfaces.
