This is the original version of the Mitre Excel Miter Gauge. It is all but new and includes the original packaging. This gauge has undergone a one-off hand calibration and adjustment by the folks at JessEm in Canada, further ensuring its accuracy. The image of the shipping label validates JessEm's shipment to me after the calibration. Includes the original packaging.
The head and fence are made from heavy-gauge aluminum. Large and small brass locator pins adjust the miter-head setting accurately up to every half degree. You also have the option of setting the angle manually. The steel miter bar has two adjustment mechanisms to provide a slop-free fit in the miter slot. The fence and very solid flip-stop provide 36 in. of total crosscut capacity, including the sliding fence extension.
My table saw use isn't what it once was, and a variety of sleds seem to address my crosscut needs. This is a beast of a miter gauge, priced well below JessEm's current offering.
