I found these online and bought some for a table project I’m working on. They seem to be pretty good. Here is a link to a video.

Those things are variations on a good theme that's been around for many generations in some form or another. Their use offers the woodworker a little more latitude than the pocket hole screws of the 1950s and earlier.

We have a dining room table whose aprons are fastened to the top with pocket hole screws similar to your picture.

While the Izzy skirt washer does require a rather precise depth hole and a specific size screw, it sure is quicker than a pressure glued wooden cleat for fastening the top.
