Left this morning for Raleigh, picked up my new lathe. It only took about an hour to assemble. Shorter then the time to actually pick it up.

It's home

All unboxed.

Breaking it down so it was lighter to move in the back shop, removed the tail stock, rest, and head stock.

I've already turned a piece of scrap, next to put a bowl on it soon. I'm going to enjoy this, immensely.

Hi Rob, looks great I just love good lathes and that is a good one, I have used them before. I see the picture with your son in it and I can tell by the look in his eyes, he is saying " boy I can't wait until Dad gives me this tool" :) Maybe when you upgrade :) Aloha.

So far I really like it. Unfortunately my chuck doesn't fit it. Looking now to see if I can find a 1" 8 TPI to 1 1/4" 8 TPI adaptor.

You know, I had to come in to work Saturday for a short while and my wife rode over here with me. When we were finished we decided to ride over to the fairgrounds flea market. On the way over there right adfter we got on Blueridge Road, this black pickup passed us and the wife said "Somebody sure must be happy, all she could see in that truck was a big smile and a new wood lathe in the back end.

Great score now pictures of what it will do are in order.

Congratulations,

James Davis:tool:
