Last night I attended a meeting of the local woodworking group, the "Woodies", that I joined a few months ago.
The meeting was hosted by a member who retired, along with his wife, from a career as a choral music teacher and now makes harpsichords. He learned from a master and has been making harpsichords for a little over 20 years now. He only makes a few each year.
You can find out more about Ernie and see more of his incredible stuff on his very professional Earnest Nicholas Miller web site. Here are a couple of pics I took of the harpsichord he just finished that was sitting in his very modest shop. This harpsichord is going to a broker in New England as do most of them. The broker will sell it for around $25,000!!!!!!
