Jury duty is over. We've finished the trial and I'm back. This was the first time I've been selected to actually sit on a jury and hear the trial. Very stressful.:crybaby2:

We had actually had 2 jurors in tears before we reached a verdict. Not fun

I've been lucky and always been dismissed. Thanks for doing your duty.

In my two trials as jury foreman, it always amazed me to see how emotional jurors will get and let those emotions blur the facts of the case at hand. It was so bad in my second case that the defendant got the short end of the stick in the final verdict (over my recommendation). I also found that defense lawyers usually work to exploit any emotional issues they can to win their case.
