Welcome aboard Ken. My husband works in Anderson is there during the week, back to Forest City on the weekends. I'm sure you'll find this to be a very friendly group. What kind of things do you make? Please post pictures of your work in the photo gallery (request in the Other Links menu) and you location on the member map (in menu on left side of page). Feel free to jump in.

Welcome Ken,
I am new here as well, but have been made to feel right at home. There are a lot of wonderful and witty people here with a wealth of knowledge to share. (I am wonderful and witty.... I lack the wealth of knowledge  ) Anyway, I look forward to seeing your work and hearing your comments. Once again...... welcome.

Ken, welcome aboard. I am glad you found us. Don't worry about being from SC. We have a few other foreigners on this site also and the only problem we have seen so far is occasionally one of us will have to run down to the border to sign one of them into the state. I think you will find your time here well spent. This site is both informative and entertaining. I look forward to seeing some photos of your work as well as reading your input to the forums.

BTW, nice looking shop with a lot of space.

Welcome Ken. I work beside someone that graduated from Clemson. Boy, I hate that tiger growl during football season! Anyway, I'm sure you will fit right in.

Welcome Ken. It looks like your shop is coming along very well. Much better organized than the way it started...as a garage. Your projects look great, I like how you had your grandson make his own Christmas gift...very sneaky. I look forward toyour input in the forums. See you around. Dave:)

We've been through this before - the "other" Ken also went to the "other" school in SC.

I gave just a bit of grief with that tiger growl thing... I like to be gentle at first. I'm sure we'll lay it on thicker as the day goes on..

I like your shop, especially the mobility. I have been seeing a lot of the mobile lumber/plywood storage racks lately they seem to be pretty popular.

Welcome to the site, Ken. Took a peek at your shop link -- knew immediately that the site you were on was Clemson.edu -- slow as molasses (sorry, I'm a Gamecock like K.M.!). Seriously, if you can, ask for a photo gallery by selecting that option under the "Other Links" choice on the main menu bar. That's a much faster way for folks to see your shop and project work and there's no link to remember. We have lots of good people here willing to share and absorb ww info -- happy to have you join from south of the border!

Welcome Ken, we can always use an educator

Yeah, the NC border is quite porous. As a youth, my home county was "dry" and it was necessary to slip into SC to obtain booze. :eusa_shhh
