I'd like to have a handle made.

I can get anything at our local hardware store, if you just want to center bore the handle. I probably want to go pretty deep, since it's wood.
I was thinking all the way through with a carriage bolt. Just don't know if they come in metric since they are kinda old school.


Well, here they are. Whadda ya know?


Maybe hard to find the size you need?

Yeah, I've never seen a metric carriage bolt. I think epoxy will hold. I won't be reefing on it too hard. If need be I can cross drill the bolt and add a brass pin. Though removing more wood might just weaken it.

The TooBoos picture doesn't look anything like the handle that you asked about originally! ?????

It has nothing to do with my handle aside from a plastic to wood replacement.
