Not sure what it is, maybe being lazy *likely* or maybe its some deep rooted, psychological problem :-\". Anyway I'm going to break down, stop complaining and put something up.
I'm 31 and live in South Durham, you know that big new mall? I'm close enough that I get light pollution from it at night.
I feel into woodworking by accident, or maybe by expansion of another hobby.... Saltwater reef tanks. You see doing a reef tank you become a plumber, electrician, emergency flood manager, lighting specialist, thermal engineer, handy man and of course carpenter/cabinetmaker. <That last one is the excuse I used to start buying woodworking tools>. It started with something like: "Sonja, it would be cheaper if I built my own hood and stand, I just need that table saw and these little things over here first"...
That first stand is TERRIBLE and so I set out to figure out how to do better. Bought enough stuff to actually do reasonable work and got it into the garage just in time for summer to set in. Then after realizing that wouldn't work I bought myself an air-conditioner for my birthday and I'm finally in business.
Other hobbies (did I mention plumber, electrician, etc?)... I love photography, little sports cars, learning and occasionally I'm accused of brewing meed (although not lately). By day I'm a software architect working on an large embedded system.
I live with 1 Sonja (Hopefully I can get her on here), 3 cats, a ferret, a bazillion fish and a bunch of invertebrates (shrimp, coral, etc). Not sure what else to add, but looking back that's already pretty long.
