A lady at work asked me if I could make her some tables to hold her kids "stuff". I figures it was a great opportunity to get out in the shop and do something other than a pen for a change ! The tables are maple.
I picked out some maple with curl in it. Straight satin poly finish. I'll be delivering them on Wednesday. The inspiration came from something she found at pier one imports. Many more pictures availiable in my gallery, here Thanks for looking.

I was wondering when you were going to show them off. I saw that you had posted them in you Album a few days ago and thought "well this fine work can go un-recognized". Thanks for posting and I am sure that you client got a much more beautiful piece(s) than she ever expected. Nice curl on the Maple BTW :eusa_danc

Great Work, Clay!

I really like the "breadboard edge"!!!:eusa_clap And the natural finish looks fantastic! (What did you use for joinery for the frame? Biscuits, dowel's or MT?)

I think that she should be really proud of the results!!! Excellent results!

Wow, those turned out really nice Clay. I love the look of that maple. What did you use for the center panels and how thick are they?

The center panels are 1/2" maple ply, and I used pocket screws for most of the joinery. ( playing around with my kreg ). I was pretty happy with the results of the kreg, but i do like the M&T joinery for this application.

Clay the tables look perfect to me. Love the maple.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap

You did a great job with the Kreg. I have a heckuva time getting the frames perfectly aligned with mine. Looks like you've got it sorted out pretty good!

I found that if I use a bessy to hold the frame square and level to each other before I drill, they tend to line up much better.
