hoping for advice on buying bulk hardware

I was looking in to purchasing bulk hardware (small box hinges).And even at the bulk prices given by most mail order houses(+25),you are looking at $3 or so a hinge.
I need more than 100.And more than likely... about 1500.
Does anyone know of an alternative I have overlooked and am in desperate need of discovering?

You might want to take a look at Custom Service Hardware in Wisconsin. They have lots of choices in multiple sizes, materials and finishes. I've bought hardware supplies from them several times and they are very reliable.

I've also had good experiece with CSH. Call them though rather than just get what pops up on their website. They frequently have opened box/excess/etc that they can give you a great price. I got a box of drawer slides for ~35% off because they had been opened and the mounting screws were missing. Mounting screws were priced right there also.
