Is there such a thing as high-flow hose bibbs? I have two leaky ones that need replacing and while I am doing that I plan to increase the supply line from 1/2" to 3/4" but when I look inside these bibbs I see where there is still a very small area that the water passes through.

Any plumbers out there know if such an item exists? Also, do I need a freeze-proof setup or one for non-freeze climates here in central NC?

Thanks

You should be OK with a standard in lieu of a freeze proof if you put an insulated cover over it in the winter. Is the supply line in a crawl or heated basement? That usually mitigates any low temps at the bibb if it's insulated. As for high flow, try & find one with a 1/4 turn ball valve mechanism. That'll let it out!
