HF lathe for sale

Well I tried to buy the lathe that was on sale , I had downloaded DaveO's 20% off coupon and went there last week and this week, but they've been out of stock, so I'll have to wait until next time. Some times you just have to wait for good deals.

I assume that they do not offer "rain checks" if an item is out of stock?

Oh well. They usually put it on sale at least every six months or so.

last time my local HF was out of stock on a sale item, they did offer rainchecks.

I you want to take a short<g> ride down i-95 to Dillon SC, the HF distribution site is there...I forget the exit # but can get it if you want). It is right off the exit and they usually have everything in stock. Open on Sunday also.

Just saw one on Raleigh craigslist (posted Sunday the 14th) for $150. Claims it is new -only used twice- and comes with two sets of chisels.

That lathe turned out to be sold in the end, I hope a NCWW got it because it looked like a great deal. It's probably better that I didn't get one on this run due to the lack of time and money anyway. i'll try again next time.

The latest HF mailing (received today) is showing it still on sale ($199) through November 12th. (Would on assume that if they are running it on sale again that they will have more units in stock?:-?)

Jimmy, when I purchased my HF lathe they had been out of stock and I too filled out one of the raincheck slips. I finally talked to the manager there and he let me know what day they were expecting shipment. I called that morning and confirmed that they had arrived. It worked for me, so you may want to give it a try.

I just got back from visiting my dad in FLA. They had the 12" lathe in stock at the Dillion, SC warehouse/store. Sale price was $199.99. Wish I had some extra cash.
