Help me ID this wood...

Here is the freshly planed board:

It's an old board, it splinters easily, and stain is blotchy on it (although oil works well). I think it is just old quartersawn pine, but i'm no expert...the rays in it are throwing me off.

Don't see it much anymore. It got used a lot in the 70s but was soon depleted. See it on panel doors now but only as laminate over pine core.

Are the rays normal here? I wish i had more of this stuff, because it is really beautiful imo...

My guess is Douglas Fir or as they say Oregon Pine. Nice quartered old growth. Love the bearclaw in the top picture.
