Hi, from the big town of Cassatt, SC where only one person at a time can fit into the post office.
I've had my own shop for a few years now. It started as a detached garage but I kind of took it over. My husband still has fantasies of one day parking his car in it again. After three years, however, I think reality is finally setting in for him. Thank goodness he's a patient man.
I still consider myself a novice. I like to try new projects that help me increase my skills. I'm about to begin building four large display cases for a friend of mine.
Right now I'm struggling with my Hawk Routershop. I'm beginning to think it's not the right table for me. I just banged up a new lock-miter bit on the stainless steel top so I decided to call it a night.
I was excited to find this site. It's nice to hear from people who live near-by and to talk to fellow woodworkers.
BTW, Mann Tools in Columbia is having two days of free classes Feb 29 to March 1 but you have to register. See their web site. Also, I don't know if this is a good deal to some of you, but I just picked up some kiln-dried, sufaced cypress for 90 cents a board foot at a saw mill near Lake City.
