Greetings All -
Quid_non here. Glad I found the site - lot's of great people and ideas here! Based on some of the pic's I have seen - Wow! What a talented group of woodworkers. :eusa_danc

I've been "collecting" power tools for about 20 years and using them longer. Mostly interested in making things that are useful around the house and farm - some interior furniture and cabinets, lawn furniture and lots of picture frames. Recetly got into turning - now that is addictive! Making lots of pens, but my bowl turning skills mostly generate firewood. I recently converted a 22x24 garage to only woodworking - it is really nice to have space to work, Installed central air and dust collection - that makes all the difference - easy to clean up and I don't cough as much.

I'm a Scientist by training - so I like the "exact" but forgiving aspect of woodworking. Hell, it's just another experiment - cut it again to make it fit! :BangHead:

Look froward to learning from ya'll and contributing where I can! :icon_thum

Hello Wayne,

Welcome to the best woodworking site on the web. You'll find some great folks here as well as a wealth of tool, wood, and technique information.

You said scientist by trainning. I have three for next door neighbors; two chenists and one biologist. What's your field?

Welcome to the site, Wayne -- Hmmm... scientist -- I resemble that ancient vocation.... much better now, retired.... I not only like your avatar, but I love your dog, too! Wouldn't life be a plain place without our dogs? Enjoy the site and be prepared for lots of sharing!

Rob

(My Avatar is like our Great Pyrenees, Badger, a 3-years old male). Like many of us, add your dog's pic to the Shop Pets Gallery when you get a chance.
