Hello all,

My name is Scott and I am currently located in Spotsylvania, VA. I retired here after 24 years in the Marine Corps and decided to make my hobby of woodworking into my full-time attention taker. I have been woodworking since around 10 ish and I am now 44+. I had to put it on hold for the majority of the time while I was still in the Marine Corps due to commitments there that didn't allow me to be near my home or my tools. However, I did use those years to build up and improve upon my tools and my skills. So now I am building different things and have even ventured into making videos to educate and pass woodworking information onto others. I am married and have two daughters who both have a small interest in what I do and jump in to make their own things at times. I look forward to interacting with y'all and seeing what y'all make.

Thank you for your serivce, it is appreciated.
We are glad you found us. Our little corner of the web is devoted to encourging, teaching and introducing people to this wonderful craft.
Looking forward to seeing your work.
You should post your YT site (assuming you are posting your videos on You Tube?)

I do have a YT site that I am slowly working on. I have two videos so far but have a whole production list I am working on, if you'd call it that for a one man show... Would I post it here or is there a separate thread to post things such as that? I want to make sure i am doing things right since i am new to this.

Pretty sure you can start a new thread and post the video. Artisan Pirate does it that way. Then Folks can view it and comment if they want and all is in context and not side tracked. Looking fwd to seeing what you build.

I like this idea as well. I need to remember to actually video my builds though. I catch myself more focused on the build then remember way too far into it that I should be videoing it. But I like this idea so that it doesn't detract from any other threads. Thank you.
