HDPE or similar material needed

Anyone know a local (Raleigh/Durham) source for HDPE or similar? I know Woodcraft carries a small selection of UHMW, but I need a piece around 14"x26" in size and at least .5" thick.

Piedmont Plastics would probably have it, but they made it known last time I went there that they were not really interested in small counter/cash orders.

McMaster Carr has plenty of HDPE. Part number 8619K476 matches your request, though if you tweak your dimensions you could reduce the waste quite a bit.

Thanks guys! I was hoping to find a local "brick and mortar" location, but McMaster Carr had a pretty good price, so I'll get some there.

There is a local NCWW'r in Durham that can probably help you out. Contact Dino. He has a garage full of plastics and is a heck of a nice guy. I have bought some lexan and HWM PE from him.
