I am cleaning out a basement workshop of equipment, tools, hardware, and lumber and not sure where to sell it (I am not the woodworker). Specifically with the lumber, I believe I have walnut and oak. I have 17 pieces of walnut (total of 77.85 bd ft) and 2 pieces of oak (total of 11.14 bd ft). I don't know the grade of the wood or how to go about pricing it. Wondering if anyone can help. The Oak seems finished and smooth with one edge rounded while the walnut seems like it came straight from a lumber yard with more uneven edges. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have posted the larger items on Craig's List (and had success with several items) but trying to reach a more targeted set of potential buyers for the remaining things.

I have bought walnut from $2 to $6 per board foot. It depends on the condition and beauty of the wood. without close inspection I would guess that is in the $4 range.

I believe your other wood is pine knotty pine sells for around $1.50 foot planed.

This really should be in the wood forum.
