Happy Thanksgiving

Today, I noticed a constant stream of members and guests visiting the site, but not a lot of content. I suspect that as we approach Thanksgiving the content will be less and less, as we each go out of town and/or attend to our respective holiday "honey do's" and our attentions turn to our families.

Six months ago I started this site with a very limited scope in mind. My intent was simply to have a place to post my pictures and a place I could ask where "Where can I find?" and perhaps even get an answer. The site is still small, but a funny thing has happened in the meantime. I have gained a sense of community in my adopted state, even a sense of extended family.

So, to each of you go my hopes, wishes, and prayers for:

Thanks for all that you do on our behalf, great things often start small. This site seems to have brought together quite a few like minded (read twisted) individuals. I too appreciate the sense of community and sharing. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone too. We'll actually get home to Forest City for a couple of days. We'll be on the net and watch for any stragglers. Thanks Steve to starting this whole ball rolling. I also have a sense of family and folks who understand our obsession. Everyone be safe.

Steve, I to want to pass on my thanks to you and the others for keeping this site up and running. All though I have only been a member a short while I have really enjoyed all of my visits to this site. I hope in the future I will have the opportunity to personally meet some of the other members.

I would just like to say that I consider everyone here my second family. I feel like I'm with a bunch of my buddies when I'm on this site, and I am grateful for every minute of it. Happy Thanksgiving guys and girls!

Steve, thanks for your wishes and the same back to you. IMO Thanksgiving is the only really pure holiday left, not over run with commercialism and materialism. But filled with family's enjoying each others company, shear gluttony, and Tryptophan fueled naps. I hope that you have a good one and are surrounded by the ones you love...and don't forget some deep-fried turkey...this is the south. Dave(wishin' ya'll a good one)

We all appreciate :eusa_clap your great efforts to make this a superb site that gives us all one more thing in our lives to be thankful for... But, to paraphrase (or to bastardize) Ryan's signature "Measure twice, cut once": For your Thanksgiving turkey, "Don't measure, cut often", and enjoy being with family and friends.

When I made the this thread, I sort of assumed that there wouldn't be a lot of activity becuase of the holiday. Well, there has been more than I antcipated.

Just so you know, I haven't abandoned the board, I'm on several times a day, but unless there is a problem I've been pretty quiet. I've got a houseload of holiday guests. The California contingent is already here. The Florida contigent arrives this afternoon and the Winston-Salem group comes on Thursday. So I haven't been posting much and probably won't until after Sunday when the last leaves. It won't surprise me if I need a few days to recover.:roll:

But I'm here and monitoring:lol:

Steve, thanks for the well-wishes and I hope that you have a good holiday! I too have found a wonderfull, cooperative sense of community here. I'm definately thankful for all that you do, Steve and the other admins/moderators. My biggest fear is that you will get burnt out with all the time that you put in on this. I hope that we've given you enough help when you've asked for it and in the future, you won't be afraid to ask for more if you need it!
