Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! As for woodworking-related gifts, I've already received a copy of Hoadley's Understanding Wood (which I love and have long wanted my own copy of) and Flexner's Understanding Wood Finishing (which I haven't read yet, but, since I'm terrible at finishing, I hope it'll help).

And, in the past couple hours, I've had 48 tons of fill sand dumped on the site of my soon-to-be new woodshop. (Groundbreaking was two days ago; hopefully the pour will be Friday.) So it's been a pretty good woodworking birthday already! (Unfortunately, I had to pay for the sand myself.)
