That is a well illustrated article. I think that 12/ blind DT are probably harder than thru DTs. Once I get bored with my new Leigh jig I might have to try my hand at hand-cutting. Dave:)

This is a great article. I think I'm with Dave though, even though I don't yet own a DT jig, I've done some with a jig and it just seems to me it would be much easier (accurate) than the hand method.

Where the writer talks about the newbies avoiding these like the plague...I'm more of the opinion that I prefer not to waste wood.:eusa_hand

Can anyone point me in the right direction for an ok dovetail saw? I don't need the best, but something that is a good tool. I looked at japanwoodworker but there are a lot to choose from.

Trying to add to the Christmas list:lol:
